Winds of Change – 21

You’ve noticed a change in the air and you’re not sure what to make of it. Is it just a light breeze, or is there a storm coming? When the winds start to change direction, it’s not unusual for panic to set in. It’s important to remember, though, that not all change is bad. Before you get all bent out of shape about the way the wind is blowing, take a closer look at the forecast. If change is approaching, there’s a good change you’ve had some warning. And if you haven’t – you’ll deal with it when the time comes. Change often takes place when it’s needed most, even if we don’t see it that way at first. Relationships, jobs, moves, births, deaths…these are all types of change and you’ll most likely encounter one or more of them at some time or another in your lifetime. You’ve chosen this card because the Winds of Change are headed in your direction or have possibly already struck. If that’s the case, focus on the positive aspects of this new chapter in your life. Perhaps you’ve already welcomed change with open arms – or maybe you’ve yet to accept that which is unfamiliar. Either way, recognize that it’s a necessary part of life. Without it we cannot grow.

There is no reversal for this card.

Intuition – 23

The psychic abilities that you’ve harbored within you since birth are being awakened or developed – whether you realize it at the conscious level or not. Whenever you experience a “gut feeling” or you get a “vibe” – pay attention. This is your Intuition speaking to you. The tricks to developing accuracy when it comes to Intuition are listening closely to your senses and interpreting that information without judgment or jumping to premature conclusions. Encourage the development of your psychic abilities by working with oracle cards, utilizing crystals at the Third Eye Chakra, or practicing visualizing techniques that help exercise your Intuition.

Sometimes the Intuition card may appear because there’s something blocking your Third Eye. Perhaps you’re not following your gut instincts, or even worse – you’re ignoring them entirely. When this occurs, your judgment often becomes impaired and it’s all too easy to give in to pressure, make poor decisions, or find yourself caught up in risky or even dangerous situations. Hindered Intuition can also cause you to simply read into things too much. If this is happening to you, you’re probably overanalyzing everything and everyone around you. If you have an intuitive block that’s causing either one or both of these scenarios, it’s time to remove it for good. Visualize Universal white light entering in through the Crown Chakra and flowing down into the Third Eye, cleansing it of all impurities. You may also try clearing your Third Eye by lying down somewhere comfortable and placing a small crystal on that Chakra center for several minutes. Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, Halite, or a clear Quartz crystal work beautifully for this simple exercise.

Communication – 2

Communication is an important part of any relationship or transaction – personal, business, or otherwise – and when it becomes blocked or misconstrued, things can really go awry. The Communication card appears when you get involved in a situation that calls for stellar communication skills. If you want to be an effective communicator, speak clearly and honestly to the person (or persons) you’re conflicting with and don’t forget to listen, too. Listening is a big part of communication and unfortunately, it’s the part that’s most often forgotten about. While speaking, be mindful of the tone of your voice, keep a cool head, and don’t let your emotions take control. If you keep the lines of communication open and flowing in both directions, you’ll gain a better understanding of where the other is coming from – and you’ll be able to speak your truth, too. Remember to apply this manner of communication to all relationships: romantic partners, family members, friends, co-workers, clients, and even strangers. Effective communication is the key to peaceful co-existence. Not only does it resolve problems – it prevents them from occurring in the first place.

The Multi-Tasker – 24

The Multi-Tasker appears here as an octopus, eight tentacles to help her complete as much as she can and all at once. The master multi-tasker, this guide has come to you today because like her, you are blessed with the awesome ability to multi-task like nobody’s business, too! With plenty of tasks to tend to, you manage to care for your loved ones, keep the homestead up and running, earn a living, and extend your time to extracurricular activities and events as well. You thrive on busy, whether you like or not. The Multi-Tasker wants to let you in on a little secret, though. Be careful. Too much going on at once can leave your busy octopus body sitting in a pool of ink.

Sometimes you have to set a limit when it comes to how many responsibilities you’re going to handle at once. When you take on too much, it’s only a matter of time before you become stressed, resentful, and just plain burnt-out. If you can’t or don’t want to do something, politely say “no” and don’t feel guilty about it. Do the things you need to do, but drop extra weight that you just don’t need. You’ll find that by doing so, you’ll feel lighter, happier, and healthier because you’ll have some time leftover to devote to you!

Queen of Hearts – 28

The Queen of Hearts is the queen of love, passion, and romance – ruler of relationships. Always concerned with the best interest of your heart, she appears when a new love relationship is just around the corner. Your heart is ready to give and receive, so it’s okay to let your guard down. This is a time for sparks to fly and passion to abound…so embrace it! Although the Queen of Hearts brings you good news, she wants to give you some heartfelt wisdom, too. Romantic relationships come with ups and downs – that’s how you’ll learn what works and what doesn’t. Some partners may turn out to be the wrong ones, but each one will teach you something that will prove to be invaluable when you finally find the right one.

If you’re already in a relationship, it’s time rekindle the passion and fall in love all over again.  Don’t just assume that they know how much you love them. The Queen of Hearts urges you to tell them and show them.

If you’ve been experiencing a drought in the land we call “love,” The Queen encourages you to look inward. Some self-love needs to take place. When you can be comfortable and happy with yourself alone, you’ll be ready to love someone else and accept their love in return. This advice can apply to someone in a committed relationship, too. If you love you, someone else will want to love you, too.

The Peacekeeper – 39

The kind and gentle face of The Peacekeeper mirrors the peacekeeper that lives inside of you. Either it’s always been in your nature to act as a peacekeeper, or you’ve recently assumed this challenging new role out of necessity – to keep the peace among the people you coexist with. Do the best you can to encourage peaceful attitudes and to maintain the stance that you do – good for you for not engaging in destructive or negative tug-of-war struggles with others. At the same time, understand that situations involving conflicting sides can’t always be simmered down. You can make suggestions and point out ways to compromise, but if neither party budges or if you just plain feel like you’re caught in the middle – tell yourself it’s time to walk away.

The Peacekeeper card also encourages you to let go of old grudges and consider making amends. If you’re at odds with someone that you care about, consider letting bygones be bygones. The Peacekeeper understands that while you might be able to forgive someone, it might not be so easy to forget. That’s okay. Making amends doesn’t mean that things have to go back to the way they were. Sometimes they can’t or it’s not healthy for that to happen. The Peacekeeper asks you, though, to forgive, let go, and move on.

Mother Nature – 18

When Mother Nature appears, the Universe is nudging you in the direction of the great outdoors. You haven’t been spending enough time with Mother Nature lately, and to do so would do you a whole lot of good. In the chaos of life you’ve probably been pretty busy. Hey, Mother Nature understands that whole juggling act – she’s got plenty of responsibilities herself! She wants you to know, however, that some time spent basking in her splendor is something you would benefit from on every level right now. Set aside some time each day if you can, or a few days a week if that’s all you can do, to be outdoors. Go on a nature hike, meditate beneath a tree, plant a garden, or just get some exercise! Take a break from your busy schedule and escape into the loving arms of Mother Nature.

Past Lives – 6

The Past Lives card usually appears when unfinished business or an unresolved issue from a past life follows you into the next, causing flash memories or moments of déjà vu that you can’t quite explain away. Do you ever feel like you’ve been here before? Do you have memories that don’t come from this lifetime? Do you ever wonder why you have the interests you do, where your fears come from, or why you’re always facing certain challenges? It’s not uncommon for past life experiences to bleed into your present life, and some of what you might be experiencing might be directly related to another time, another place – but to your present soul.

Perhaps it’s time to do some exploring…

Prosperity – 36

Upright: Prosperity is in your sights and any worries you’ve been having about finances are about to be put to rest for the time being. Money will soon be streaming in more steadily, and you’ll have fewer unexpected expenses to deal with. The Prosperity Guides advise you, though, to prevent this flow of abundance from going to your head. With finances on the mend now, it’s a good time to set something aside for tomorrow. Enjoy this gift of abundance, but do so responsibly.

Reversed: Your finances have been in turmoil for quite some time now, every day leaving you wondering what you’re going to do when tomorrow comes. When Prosperity comes up reversed, a call for action is in order. You can start by looking for ways to cut back on spending. Even if you think you’ve already done this, think again. Create a new budget and stick to it. Consider looking for a new job, tack on a side job, or check into local resources for low-income families. Last but not least, ask the Universe for what you need. Be specific, put your intention into your request, and have faith. Things will turn around.

Affirmation: I am worthy of abundance and prosperity. The Universe (God) will always provide.
