Winds of Change – 21

You’ve noticed a change in the air and you’re not sure what to make of it. Is it just a light breeze, or is there a storm coming? When the winds start to change direction, it’s not unusual for panic to set in. It’s important to remember, though, that not all change is bad. Before you get all bent out of shape about the way the wind is blowing, take a closer look at the forecast. If change is approaching, there’s a good change you’ve had some warning. And if you haven’t – you’ll deal with it when the time comes. Change often takes place when it’s needed most, even if we don’t see it that way at first. Relationships, jobs, moves, births, deaths…these are all types of change and you’ll most likely encounter one or more of them at some time or another in your lifetime. You’ve chosen this card because the Winds of Change are headed in your direction or have possibly already struck. If that’s the case, focus on the positive aspects of this new chapter in your life. Perhaps you’ve already welcomed change with open arms – or maybe you’ve yet to accept that which is unfamiliar. Either way, recognize that it’s a necessary part of life. Without it we cannot grow.

There is no reversal for this card.

Intuition – 23

The psychic abilities that you’ve harbored within you since birth are being awakened or developed – whether you realize it at the conscious level or not. Whenever you experience a “gut feeling” or you get a “vibe” – pay attention. This is your Intuition speaking to you. The tricks to developing accuracy when it comes to Intuition are listening closely to your senses and interpreting that information without judgment or jumping to premature conclusions. Encourage the development of your psychic abilities by working with oracle cards, utilizing crystals at the Third Eye Chakra, or practicing visualizing techniques that help exercise your Intuition.

Sometimes the Intuition card may appear because there’s something blocking your Third Eye. Perhaps you’re not following your gut instincts, or even worse – you’re ignoring them entirely. When this occurs, your judgment often becomes impaired and it’s all too easy to give in to pressure, make poor decisions, or find yourself caught up in risky or even dangerous situations. Hindered Intuition can also cause you to simply read into things too much. If this is happening to you, you’re probably overanalyzing everything and everyone around you. If you have an intuitive block that’s causing either one or both of these scenarios, it’s time to remove it for good. Visualize Universal white light entering in through the Crown Chakra and flowing down into the Third Eye, cleansing it of all impurities. You may also try clearing your Third Eye by lying down somewhere comfortable and placing a small crystal on that Chakra center for several minutes. Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, Halite, or a clear Quartz crystal work beautifully for this simple exercise.

Communication – 2

Communication is an important part of any relationship or transaction – personal, business, or otherwise – and when it becomes blocked or misconstrued, things can really go awry. The Communication card appears when you get involved in a situation that calls for stellar communication skills. If you want to be an effective communicator, speak clearly and honestly to the person (or persons) you’re conflicting with and don’t forget to listen, too. Listening is a big part of communication and unfortunately, it’s the part that’s most often forgotten about. While speaking, be mindful of the tone of your voice, keep a cool head, and don’t let your emotions take control. If you keep the lines of communication open and flowing in both directions, you’ll gain a better understanding of where the other is coming from – and you’ll be able to speak your truth, too. Remember to apply this manner of communication to all relationships: romantic partners, family members, friends, co-workers, clients, and even strangers. Effective communication is the key to peaceful co-existence. Not only does it resolve problems – it prevents them from occurring in the first place.

The Multi-Tasker – 24

The Multi-Tasker appears here as an octopus, eight tentacles to help her complete as much as she can and all at once. The master multi-tasker, this guide has come to you today because like her, you are blessed with the awesome ability to multi-task like nobody’s business, too! With plenty of tasks to tend to, you manage to care for your loved ones, keep the homestead up and running, earn a living, and extend your time to extracurricular activities and events as well. You thrive on busy, whether you like or not. The Multi-Tasker wants to let you in on a little secret, though. Be careful. Too much going on at once can leave your busy octopus body sitting in a pool of ink.

Sometimes you have to set a limit when it comes to how many responsibilities you’re going to handle at once. When you take on too much, it’s only a matter of time before you become stressed, resentful, and just plain burnt-out. If you can’t or don’t want to do something, politely say “no” and don’t feel guilty about it. Do the things you need to do, but drop extra weight that you just don’t need. You’ll find that by doing so, you’ll feel lighter, happier, and healthier because you’ll have some time leftover to devote to you!
